2. Entry and admission
- Non-slip socks are compulsory in the play areas. If you do not bring a pair, you can buy them at reception.
- Accompanying adults do not pay.
- Entry is subject to availability and to the capacity of the venue.
- The unlimited pass is valid for one entry: once you leave the premises, you cannot come back in on the same pass.
- At check-in, the adult responsible for the child must show an identity document.
- On leaving, children must be accompanied by the responsible adult who checked them in.
- We reserve the right of admission and the right to ask any visitor to leave if they put their own safety, that of other visitors or that of our staff at risk, if they persist in breaking the park rules, or if they behave illegally or offensively. In those cases there is no refund or compensation.
- Children with specific needs are welcome. Talk to us before your visit so we can prepare.
3. Rules of use and safety
- Visitors must respect the park’s signage and follow all instructions given by staff.
- Access to some areas may depend on the visitor’s age or height.
- Belts, buckles, necklaces, rings, glasses, watches, keys, metal objects and any other item that could damage the equipment or cause injury are not allowed.
- Balls, toys and other personal items may not be taken into the play areas.
- Smoking and consuming alcohol or illegal substances inside the park are forbidden.
- Food and drink brought from outside may not be consumed. The park has its own café for that. The only exception is the «Bring your own food and drink» party, where room hire includes exactly that.
- Animals are not allowed, except assistance dogs.
- Pregnant women, people with health problems or visible physical conditions, and people with medical advice to avoid physical activity may not take part in the park’s activities.
- Any visitor with a health condition or a physical or mental limitation that does not prevent them from taking part must tell a member of staff beforehand.
4. Liability and insurance
- Visitors are liable for any damage they cause to third parties and to the park’s facilities.
- In the event of an accident, the park holds an insurance policy that compensates the injured party, under the terms and limits of the policy.
- Claiming on the insurance requires payment of a 150 € excess, borne by the customer.
- The insurance covers only accidents caused by the park’s equipment and does not cover their misuse.
- The park is not liable for damage to, theft of or loss of visitors’ belongings.
- Lost property is kept for 30 days and then donated to a charity.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it.
5. Photography and filming
- You may photograph your own children. Taking images of other visitors without their permission is not allowed.
- Visitors may be photographed or filmed by the media during news coverage. If you would rather not be, please tell a member of staff.
- Photo shoots or filming for commercial purposes require prior written permission.
- We only publish photographs or videos of children with written permission from whoever holds parental responsibility, given separately for each purpose and revocable at any time. The full rules are in the Privacy Policy.
6. Party and event conditions
The options, prices, minimum and maximum number of children and what each one includes are on the parties page and form part of these Terms. A party lasts 2h30.
- Booking a birthday party requires a 100 € deposit, which is deducted from the final price. The party takes place on the date and time booked and is only confirmed once the deposit is paid.
- The minimum number of children depends on the option chosen. If fewer guests turn up than the minimum for the option booked, the difference is not refunded and cannot be exchanged for other services.
- The final number of children must be confirmed with the park at least 48 hours in advance.
- If you cancel at least 15 days in advance, the deposit is refunded in full. Later cancellations are not refundable.
- The food is for the children taking part in the party only.
- The park reserves the right to cancel a booking with at least 15 days notice, refunding in full whatever has been paid.
- On the options that include a menu, bringing in food or drink from outside incurs a 50 € penalty.
- The prices that apply are those published on the site on the date of booking, and they include VAT.
- A theme outside the published list depends on availability and must be agreed with the park before booking.
7. Service and payment
- The service is provided exclusively at the park’s premises. Nothing is shipped.
- Tickets are valid only for the day they are issued for.
- The party deposit is paid by bank transfer to the company’s account. The balance is paid on the day of the party.
- The park may close temporarily for maintenance, building work or reasons beyond our control. If that affects a booking already paid for, we either move it to another date or refund what was paid, as the customer prefers.
- Once online payment goes live, it will be processed by ifthenpay (MB WAY and Multibanco), which handles the data described in the Privacy Policy. The park has no access to bank or card data.
8. Right of withdrawal
- In distance contracts, consumers generally have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason (article 10 of Decree-Law 24/2014 of 14 February).
- This right does not apply to birthday parties or to other leisure services with a specific date or period of performance (article 17(1)(l) of the same Decree-Law).
- In those cases, the cancellation conditions in section 6 apply.
9. Complaints
If something goes wrong, tell us first: geral@animapark.pt or +351 968 468 353. It is almost always sorted out.
If you would rather complain formally:
- This establishment holds a Complaints Book in paper form, available at reception on request.
- The Complaints Book is also available electronically at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.
- We reply to any complaint within 15 working days, as required by article 5-B(4) of Decree-Law 156/2005.
